KMC & the Methodist Connexion

Methodist Churches all operate as independent churches but within the support and guidance of the Methodist Connexion.  So, we make many individual, local decisions but also take part in lots of shared events. We are part of the Sheffield Circuit (yes, we know we are NE Derbyshire) which is a bit like a Diocese. Then we are part of the East section where we have shared goals with other Methodist churches (like Renishaw, Woodhouse, Handsworth and Mosborough).

This came to life this week with a:-

• shared welcome service  and afternoon tea for new ministers here at Killamarsh.
• shared communion in the Woodhouse Methodist church garden
• pilgrimage of visits to multi-denominational churches across South West Sheffield with Christians against Poverty, where also we heard from the Sheffield Central MP - Abtisam Mohamed 

These allow individual members other ways to experience, and develop, their faith and bring back ideas to Killamarsh.
